1-1: understanding another person from their own perspective to improve the relationship

  • e.g. student-teacher relationship, parent-child relationship, sales-customer relationship

1-many: discovering one’s place in the community and how to contribute for the progress of all

  • e.g. leadership, branding, education

Many-many: enabling groups which have different belief systems to understand the other’s perspective in order to form a relationship based on trust, mutual benefiti, and complementary capabilities

  • e.g. nation-nation, M&A, strategic partnerships
